Announcing 8th annual ALG Public Speaking Class!

We are excited to announce the eighth year of African Leadership Group’s Public Speaking Class. The 12-week program will begin on October 27th.

The popular class is part of our Leadership Initiative, organized to meet the needs of individuals in the local community. This rigorous program helps participants develop and strengthen their speaking skills for a variety of situations in which formal and informal presentations are required.

The goal of this class is to assist each individual student in his or her battle to overcome their fears and build their content, character and confidence.

The course format will include but is not limited to: readings, discussions, presentations, and ongoing opportunities to practice speaking in front of a group for feedback and active learning.

Topics will include cultural and generational discussions, overcoming the fear of public speaking, grammar, perceptions of and by others, speech preparation and delivery, and the techniques of oral presentation and persuasion.

Due to the ongoing pandemic spots are very limited. Please fill out the Public Speaking Registration Form if you are interested in taking this class.
