Announcing the 10th cohort of ALG’s Public Speaking Class!

African Leadership Group is excited to announce the eighth year of the Public Speaking Class. The 12-week program will begin on November 9th and run until February 1st.

Class will be held over Zoom.

The popular class is part of our Leadership Initiative, organized to meet the needs of individuals in the local community. This rigorous program helps participants develop and strengthen their speaking skills for a variety of situations in which formal and informal presentations are required.

The goal of this class is to assist each individual student in his or her battle to overcome fears and build content, character and confidence.

The course format will include but is not limited to: readings, discussions, presentations, and ongoing opportunities to practice speaking in front of a group for feedback and active learning.

Topics will include cultural and generational discussions, overcoming the fear of public speaking, grammar, perceptions of and by others, speech preparation and delivery, and the techniques of oral presentation and persuasion.
