ALG community survey: We need your voice

If you are a parent or caregiver with a child in Aurora Public Schools, this is your moment to speak. And to be heard.

African Leadership Group is partnering with Aurora Public Schools on the 2026 APS Community Survey to better understand the experiences and needs of African immigrant families. This work is focused on strengthening communication, improving services, and building stronger connections between families and schools.

Your voice. Real impact.

This survey is a simple but important opportunity to share what’s working, what could be clearer, and where improvements can be made. It focuses on real, everyday experiences—how families receive information, how well school processes are understood, and how connected families feel to their child’s school.

When families participate, they help shape how schools communicate and support students and families moving forward. This input will be compiled, analyzed, and shared back with the community to guide next steps.

Why your participation matters

The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. It is anonymous and designed to be straightforward.

The more families who participate, the more accurate and useful the insights will be. Strong participation helps ensure that decisions are informed by real experiences, not assumptions.

From leadership to impact

This effort began as a Leadership Africa cohort project—an idea led by community members who wanted to better understand and improve the connection between families and schools.

What started small has grown into a district-wide partnership with Aurora Public Schools. It is a clear example of how community leadership can turn ideas into real, meaningful action.

Take the survey

We encourage every African immigrant family with children in Aurora Public Schools to take a few minutes to complete the survey.
