Fresh on the heels of the successful African Leadership Group vaccine clinics in April and May, we are now turning our attention to getting our community’s children vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
Now that the Pfizer vaccine has been approved for children 12 and older, ALG and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment will be conducting another vaccination clinic on Saturday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at ALG’s offices, 10700 East Evans Avenue in Aurora.
The Pfizer vaccine requires two doses given three weeks apart, so we will conduct a follow-up clinic on June 26 to administer those second doses.
Although our focus is on getting children 12 and older vaccinated, this clinic will be open to everyone who needs a vaccine, and we anticipate having several hundred doses available.
The vaccine have proven safe, and effective both against the disease and transmission of the disease. Now that mask mandates and other restrictions are being lifted for vaccinated people, it is time for you to join the party. Get vaccinated! We welcome you to our clinic with open arms.
