The African Leadership Group has received the following information from Denver International Airport (DEN) regarding possible future air service between Denver and cities in Africa.
Airport officials would appreciate the participation of ALG members in completing a survey about which cities in Africa you would like to see served by flights from Denver. You can follow this link to the survey.
The survey deadline is July 31.
Here is the information we received from DEN:
Denver International Airport (DEN), under the leadership of Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock, formed the Africa Air Service Committee (AASC) to support efforts to establish flights between Denver and Africa.
As the AASC works to finalize the top opportunities for service, travelers across Colorado are invited to participate in a survey to further supplement the data the committee has studied. As part of this survey, you will be asked to evaluate 15 cities across the continent of Africa – these 15 cities represent the highest demand for travel between Denver and Africa.
Please keep in mind that most cities in East Africa and South Africa cannot be reached nonstop from Denver due to distance, altitude and other technical issues. Flights from Denver to many cities in East Africa and South Africa will require an en route stop.
