ALG is an established Colorado nonprofit of 15 years created to serve the entire African immigrant community to help improve their quality of life. We do it through social, education and economic programs such as youth empowerment and public speaking classes reaching thousands of individuals. Every year during the month of August, we celebrate loudly and proudly the impact African immigrants have in the state of Colorado.

Taste of Ethiopia Heritage Foundation is a nonprofit organization that celebrates and preserves Ethiopian culture through food, music, art, and community engagement. Our mission is to connect generations and cultures by showcasing Ethiopia’s rich heritage while fostering education, unity, and pride among African diasporic communities in Colorado.”
The Foundation was established to create a platform for Ethiopian Americans and allies to celebrate culture, support community identity, and promote cross-cultural understanding. Through both cultural events and public health initiatives, the organization plays a vital role in elevating heritage, wellness, and empowerment within immigrant and Black communities across the state.
The Taste of Ethiopia Annual Festival is the largest Ethiopian cultural event in the Rocky Mountain region. September 13 & 14, 2025, brings together more than 10,000 guests to celebrate Ethiopian heritage through food, music, dance, artisan markets, and traditional coffee ceremonies. Youth activities, intergenerational storytelling, and cultural education stations make it a deeply inclusive and immersive experience.
