ALG is an established Colorado nonprofit of 15 years created to serve the entire African immigrant community to help improve their quality of life. We do it through social, education and economic programs such as youth empowerment and public speaking classes reaching thousands of individuals. Every year during the month of August, we celebrate loudly and proudly the impact African immigrants have in the state of Colorado.

Massamba Diop, the Talking Drummer in Black Panther

Dear ALG Family!
If you missed Massamba Diop who played the talking drum in the Marvel movie “Black Panther” during our Afrik Impact, you are in for a treat! He will be back this Sunday, November 13!
Massamba Diop will be performing on Sunday, November 13 at the “Cervantes’ Other Side” ballroom, located at 2637 Welton Street, Denver, CO 80205, starting at 3PM.
Black Panther movie fans are invited to experience Wakanda on Welton in Five Points, November 10-16. This community event will feature drum-based music, food and unique photo opportunities to show off your favorite Wakandan-like ensemble.
Join us on Welton Street in Five Points for a weekend full of Wakandan-like excitement and culture. Small businesses will open their doors to host activities.
