Almost overnight, the Covid-19 crisis turned the lives of many families upside down. Families are juggling health and work crises, and as a result are less able to provide support for learning at home.Â
To help offset this education emergency, the African Leadership Group this fall implemented the ALG online schooling support and online tutoring programs. We are happy to announce that these programs are now receiving generous support from the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation, TNTP and OmniCards/Blackhawk, who have joined us in our efforts to help our families overcome the monumental educational challenges. Funding will be used to provide assistance to participants with food, rent, utilities, and to help purchase education-related digital devices. We will provide more details soon.
