2023 ALG Education Scholarship Application

General Instructions

DEADLINE for scholarship application is March 20th at 11:59 PM.
Refer to the application process below for a list of the supporting documents needed (i.e. reference forms, evidence of GPA, etc.) Incomplete applications will not be considered.
If any question does not apply to you in this application, please put N/A in the space.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by no later than May 1st regarding the status of your application.
If chosen, you are required to provide payment details for the educational institution.

Application Process

Applicant must submit the following items:

Completed application form (if handwritten, please print legibly)
Letter of application addressed to the Scholarship Committee. The letter should contain a brief explanation about yourself and your post-secondary plans (vocational, college/university, intended major/occupation, and anticipated start date) and an essay describing one community activity involvement. Letter should not exceed two pages.
Two letters of recommendations from non-family members who are familiar with your high school experience. These may be teachers, administrators, counselors, employers, or others with significant knowledge of academic performance, school participation, and community involvement.
A copy of your current high school transcript with cumulative grade point average.

The deadline for the application is April 24, 11:59 p.m. Applications postmarked after this date will not be considered.
