DESCRIPTION:The popular class is part of our Leadership Initiative\, organized to meet the needs of individuals in the local community. This rigorous program helps participants develop and strengthen their speaking skills for a variety of situations in which formal and informal presentations are required. \nThe goal of this class is to assist each individual student in his or her battle to overcome their fears and build their content\, character and confidence. \nThe course format will include but is not limited to: readings\, discussions\, presentations\, and ongoing opportunities to practice speaking in front of a group for feedback and active learning. \nTopics will include cultural and generational discussions\, overcoming the fear of public speaking\, grammar\, perceptions of and by others\, speech preparation and delivery\, and the techniques of oral presentation and persuasion.
